Why It’s Important:
Mochi 1’s release as an open-source model is a major step in democratizing AI video generation, opening new opportunities for developers, filmmakers, and researchers. Unlike most high-quality video models that are proprietary and expensive, Mochi 1 provides accessible tools for a broad user base, fostering innovation across industries. By making this technology free to experiment with, Genmo hopes to enable a future where video creation is within reach for anyone with a story to tell, leveling the playing field in AI-driven creative media.

ONE MORE THING…
AI Film of the Week
I don’t think it would be hyperbolic to say Where the Robots Grow, is a groundbreaking film. Produced on a shoestring budget of $8,000 per minute, Tom Paton and his nine-person team at AiMation Studio created this 87-minute film using AI tools like Adobe Firefly and Stable Diffusion. Additionally, they made Where the Robots Grow free to watch on YouTube. But this film isn’t just a showcase, it’s a milestone in the history of character animation.

Meet your own personal AI Agent, for everything…Proxy
Imagine if you had a digital clone to do your tasks for you. Well, meet Proxy…
Last week, Convergence, the London based AI start-up revealed Proxy to the world, the first general AI Agent.
Users are asking things like “Book my trip to Paris and find a restaurant suitable for an interview” or “Order a grocery delivery for me with a custom weekly meal plan”.
You can train it how you choose, so all Proxy’s are different, and personalised to how you teach it. The more you teach it, the more it learns about your personal work flows and begins to automate them.
